There are a lot of student societies and hold a high reputation and you can surely find society of your interest Different societies and clubs organize a lot of events which includes fun events, tech events, etc.. And goonj is the annual function Very friendly and helping people, I have never seen a fight or any such things in our college.
I am a localite so I don't know about hostels and pg's but the food is also good in college for me Labs, libraries are in very good condition and WiFi service is excellent and classrooms are good for any weather.
Class timings 9-1 which varies sometimes and then till 5 but it's totally your wish to attend your lectures, there is very less strictness regarding your attendance so you have a lot of time for self-study and get involved in projects with faculty and your seniors Professors are highly qualified and most of them are doctorate and done research work in their subjects and even have their research papers published in international journals. You can explore a lot if you are willing to make efforts and give your time.
University Institute of Engineering and Technology, [UIET] Panjab University, Chandigarh [BE] (Mechanical Engineering) Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 80,000 per year. There are lots of scholarship options, if you score well then your fee gets refunded and if you are not financially good then also you get concessions in your fee. About 100. Yes, the loan is needed depending on your financial conditions and it is very easy to take lone from SBI except you have to submit a lot of proofs and documents.
I am currently doing my internship from Tata motors. Deloitte, Infosys and many more. Average is about 6-7 lakhs. Alumni network is very good, they help you a lot.
You have to clear jee mains and for the mechanical stream, if you are general then you have to score rank below 90k.
There has been a number of clubs and student organizations like Rotaract, BPC, TPC, Osmium, Magboard, EDC etc. We have our annual cultural fest as GOONJ and annual sports meet. There is an annual placement drive called AVASAR. Life is good, relaxed and very calm in college.
There are 10 hostels for girls and 8 hostels for boys currently running plus 1 International Hostel for both boys and girls. The maintenance of the hostels is really good and the room rent is around 1800 per month but it is around 7000 for International hostels. One may find a variety of PGs outside the college campus and at an affordable price of 6000-10000 per month including all facilities. The food is good in taste and its just Rs. 50 for a heavy meal. Quality of classrooms is not that good. Labs and Libraries are really well equipped. wifi facilities are available for 24/7. Other infrastructure is fine too.
The college timings are from 9 am to 5 pm and there is a balanced combination of labs and classes everyday. we also have tutorials for doubt sessions. Quality of Education is entirely based on theoretical stuff and books and exams are a priority, rather than focusing on practical implications. The method of teaching is fine because the teachers use all possible aids like projectors for giving us the essence of the matter, blackboards to make us understand and notes material for learning. The overall experience is good as the environment is nice.
The course fee is approximately 90,000 INR per year (including examination fees and tuition fees). The students getting CGPA 9.5 above are eligible for scholarships and they are given some around 500-700 scholarship per month in their accounts. 3-4 students from every branch acquire a scholarship. The fee is quite affordable, I have never seen anyone applying for a loan to make for it.
I have been a member of the training sessions conducted by the College Staff, but before final year college doesn't provide internship in companies.

Average salary package is 3.5-5 lpa, highest package so far has been 20 l.p.a (depends on company), and for CSE and IT students there is 95% placement record, for other branches is it 60-70%.
Alumni are good at conducting workshops but they should also broadcast their network and try to get internships for students in 3rd year and some lessons by the industry expersts for the better guidace of students.
A student is eligible for admission in UIET if he has completed his senior secondary in Non-Medical branch and has appeared for JEE MAIN Entrance Examination. You are eligible for the admission process if you get qualified in the Examination. To participate in the counseling work of Chandigarh Colleges named as JAC Chandigarh and on the basis of your AIR, you will be granted the college (rank wise) and then the rank will decide your trade of Engineering. Say AIR ranging below 80,000 may get admission in top-ranked college out of the 5 participating colleges of JAC Chandigarh and out of those the students with ranks like in between first 20,000 will get Computer Science Engineering and next 20k in maybe IT and so on. The closing rank for my course was AIR 27000
8-9 clubs are there. All types of the fest are organized. Good life and chill life near to exams do study and fulfil our dreams.
The hostel is good and the fee is 800 per month. Pgs are good and 5k per month. Good food and 40 per diet. Good quality of labs classroom and all.

A 10+2 pass with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects along with either Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology as the third subject from a recognized board with 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks. A valid score in JEE Main is mandatory to secure admission in B.E program. Jee mains is the entrance exam. Cutoff of my course is 4k-8k for general category.
JEE mains is compulsory for admission in UIET and the board's percentage must be above 60% UIET falls under all India category and there is no Chandigarh state quota in this college, unlike PEC and CCET. The CS branch closes at around 30000 all India rank and biotechnology closes at 350000 for general category.
There are various societies available for fun, sports, creativity, geeks,dance, skit, and many more.
Total 8 boys hostel and 9 girls hostel are available and soon will be 10 girls hostel. Also hostel rent is very minimal of INR 12000 per year. Food quality is good. Also, nearby various PGs are available. Classrooms are in good condition.
Class is generally between 9 am- 4 pm which changes per sem. Teaching is good but not upto the mark. I give it rating of 6 out of 10.

Overall teaching is pretty good. Class schedule is not very hectic and you can focus on various other groups available in the college ranging from robotics to dance, coding to poetry.
