A student is eligible for admission in UIET if he has completed his senior secondary in Non-Medical branch and has appeared for JEE MAIN Entrance Examination. You are eligible for the admission process if you get qualified in the Examination. To participate in the counseling work of Chandigarh Colleges named as JAC Chandigarh and on the basis of your AIR, you will be granted the college (rank wise) and then the rank will decide your trade of Engineering. Say AIR ranging below 80,000 may get admission in top-ranked college out of the 5 participating colleges of JAC Chandigarh and out of those the students with ranks like in between first 20,000 will get Computer Science Engineering and next 20k in maybe IT and so on. The closing rank for my course was AIR 27000

A 10+2 pass with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects along with either Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology as the third subject from a recognized board with 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks. A valid score in JEE Main is mandatory to secure admission in B.E program. Jee mains is the entrance exam. Cutoff of my course is 4k-8k for general category.

JEE mains is compulsory for admission in UIET and the board's percentage must be above 60% UIET falls under all India category and there is no Chandigarh state quota in this college, unlike PEC and CCET. The CS branch closes at around 30000 all India rank and biotechnology closes at 350000 for general category.
