SIIB Scholarship 2024 is offered to meritorious candidates pursuing postgraduate programs at the institute. The scholarships are financial aid offered as academic fee waivers to help students pursue their academic careers without constraints.

SIIB Merit Scholarships

SIIB students are offered merit scholarships based on their performance and academic background. 

• The top students who join the “Symbiosis International (Deemed University)” MBA programs are awarded 50% of the Tuition-Fee Waivers scholarships.
• Merit scholarships under SIIB Pune are awarded for the MBA in Agricultural Business and MBA (E & E) programs. 

SIIB scholarships are offered mainly based on merit, irrespective of caste and financial status of the students. The institute levies various eligibility criteria and selection measurements to give students merit scholarships.

SIIB Merit Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

• Students awarded the Merit Scholarship for being a topper must score at least a 7.5 GPA.
• The eligibility criteria mention that the students must not have any prior backlogs.
• The income of the parents is not relevant for merit scholarships.
• Although the parent’s income is not considered, students must also not have any source of prior stipend or financial aid to be eligible for this SIIB Pune scholarship. If a student has already been awarded stipends, they must inform the Scholarship Committee of SIIB Pune.
• In the scenario where a candidate is eligible for more than one SIIB scholarship, only one scholarship is offered as per the student’s choice.

SIIB Merit Scholarship Selection Criteria

• Symbiosis Institute of International Business Pune announces the merit scholarships for PG programs yearly.
• In case a student declines their admission, the Symbiosis Institute of International Business Pune scholarship amount will not be awarded to another student. It will be returned to the University by the institute.
• Students need not be paid the scholarship amount directly. Instead, the scholarship amount is used to waive the academic fee. 
• However, students receive a cheque for the SIIB scholarship in the last semester.

SIIB Merit Scholarship Other Policies

• In the case of Tie-Breaker: If two or more students have the same GPA/CGPA score, the weighted average of academic scores from their classes 10 and 12 will be used to break the tie for the Semester I SIIB scholarship 2024.
• In case of Withdrawal: If a merit scholarship recipient is found guilty of gross misconduct, the institute will report the case to the student affairs office for the merit scholarship to be withdrawn. The Advisory Committee of the Symbiosis Society Foundation will make the final decision in this regard.
