Starting as a small institution in 1950 in Narasaraopet with the noble aim of catering education to the then & students of backward & Palanadu, Telangana and to the Rayalaseema areas, S.S.& N. College has become a full fledged degree college comprising an area within the radius of 34 acres. As an affiliating college first to the Andhra University and later to Acharya Nagarjuna University it has achieved tremendous progres through Quantitative Expansion and Qualitative Improvements on various academic fronts.
