There was a Boys and Girls hostel, the hostels were good and hygienic and the fee was 35,000 per semester.
The PGs/other options outside the college were not there.
The food in college was really good and it costs 25rs per meal.
Quality of classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls, WiFi and other key infrastructure was really good.
RIT has a variety of instructional facilities and teaching aids which are significant for its students and faculty. Computer classrooms with individual workstations have been provided, and each department has designated independent research space for research scholars.
‘Santhrupthi’ is a cafeteria located inside RIT campus to cater the needs of Students, Faculty and Visitors. Hygiene and quality food is served at the cafeteria.
The institute has a spacious library with a seating capacity for 200 students. The library has 19529 volumes of books with 5824 titles. 69 national and 40 international journals are available in the library. The library has subscribed many E-Journals for the latest knowledge for our students. There is also a separate Digital Library with internet for accessing E-Journals and to download the same.
The Institute library also has a Language laboratory which comprises of many software kits and books to enhance their LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) skills.
RIT runs fleet of vehicles including several buses to transport students from campus to their locations. The transport facility is also provided to students and the staff of the colleges from different places of Hassan and surrounding area. The buses are also provided to the students for University related works, fests, sports, placements and cultural competitions held in different colleges.
RIT has well furnished and ventilated classrooms with a wider space for the comfort to the students. Most of the classrooms are equipped with LCD projectors for the faster learning.
Medical facility is being provided to the students and staff. The doctors of the hospital will visit the college once in a month for the routine checkup and to monitor the health of the students & staff.
In many ways, hostel life defines the life of a student in campus. Life at RIT hostels comes with its own traditions. Some of them are quite unique. Separate hostels are situated in RIT campus for Boys and Girls with spacious accommodation, water facilities, backup power supply, extra care, concern, hospitality and 24/7 security to boarders. The hostel administrative body includes the warden, the assistant warden, the hall manager and the mess manager, who administers the day today issues in consent with the management. Hygiene vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served in both the hostels
Computer and Internet Facilities:
RIT has well equipped computer labs. The computer centre provides computational facilities to users at RIT. The centre also administers the computer network and internet links. The campus-wide fiber optic network provides a high-speed connectivity. Each department is provided with separate internet connections. The whole campus of RIT is a WI-FI zone.
Well-equipped seminar hall, conference halls and lecture halls to facilitate for organizing workshops, guest lectures, symposiums, seminars which are regular events happening in the campus.
Extra Curricular Activities:
Co-curricular and extra curricular activities are the essential part of education imparted in our institution. Various camps, cultural activities, activities in sports and games receive equal importance as they complement a wholesome and healthy personality development of the students. The campus has a huge play ground surrounded with greenery to enthuse our students for playing outdoor games like cricket, basket ball, foot ball, throw ball and volley ball. The campus also has many indoor games. Students will be encouraged to take part in social service activities, so that they will have an understanding of human conditions in rural areas.
The trust runs 300 bedded hospital which takes care of general health issues of students and faculty. Apart from the resident doctors, it is also managed by specialists including pediatrics, ENT, surgeons, orthopedists etc. It has well-equipped laboratories to conduct all types of medical tests such as Ultra-Sonograms, Scanning, Rays etc., and also has in-patient wards, OT and ambulance facility which works round the clock.
