The cutoff of the college seems to be comfortable and acceptable for many of the students as per their marks that had been obtained by them in their school. The infrastructure of this college is quite good but manageable as the cutoffs are low as compared to other colleges. College canteen is best of all and also the library serves a wide range of study material.
Admission is given to the students on the basis of du cutoff list merit-based or exam based both options are available on the du website. Good staff and services are available. Many societies are also there such as "Parikalan", "NSS", "NCC", etc. Canteen, Sports equipment, garden playground all are well maintained.
Admission to PGDAV college is marks based. There is no entrance for the admission. The marks needed to get admission can range between 90 to 95 percent. The percentage is of any four including Mathematics and one Language and two more(i.e it can be any two out of Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science etc).
I took admission in PG dev college in the course BCom Hons in the year 2015. I got admission in the 1st cut off list which was 95% for BCom Hons but last year that is 2017 the highest cutoff has reached around 96.5%. I took 5th-semester exams last year in November in which I score 7.25 GPA.
It is very hard to get b.com because of a huge competition. There are lots of options for science and arts stream, but a commerce student has very fewer options. And admissions run on the cut off based system. No entrance exam was conducted admissions. 75% marks are required for my course.
There two types of criteria to take admission first is merit cutoff of Delhi University. Last year it was 92 % and the minimum was 88 %. Second criteria is entrance exam held by Delhi University. Just clear the exam got good marks and get the sheet. My admission based on DU cutoff.
Firstly, we check the cut off list and after that if the 12th marks are according to cut off then will fill college admission form. Teachers will do verification of the documents and the fees is paid. Typically cut off of B.com(Hons) course is 96%.
It was a sports-based admission for me. We had sports trail (centralized) for admissions. Based on the performance judged through two different rounds, we were given marks and accordingly appropriate college was given. The cutoff lies between 90%-99.75% for BCom.
