The college conducts regional fests and cultural events like Saraswati Puja, Plasma (annual fest), and freshers welcome party.
Life in college is good.
There are 4 hostels. PG options are also available which costs INR 3000 per month.
Class timing starts from 9 am to 4 pm. The course curriculum includes internal assessment, projects, and final exams. My overall experience is good.
The scholarships offered are INR 9000 for each eligible student under Oasis (government scholarship) and Bikash Bhaban.
The basic eligibility is 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks or above. For admission, students should clear NEET with a qualifying cutoff of minimum 50% marks (ranks between 704-130) for the general category.
This college is under West Bengal University Of Health Sciences, offers MBBS, MD, MS courses.To enter into the MBBS course you will have to give All India NEET exam and secure a rank.
There are many programs which run on our college campus throughout the year as FRESHER DAY. This college is good according to me for studying as it is located in the geographically suitable area.
There are 4 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. The fees are very nominal around 160 per year excluding the cost of meals in the hostel. For meals, we used to spend around INR 4000 to 5000 per month. The classrooms were big like theatre mode. Wifi was not available on our college campus.
The routine was fixed from 8:00 am till 1 pm. My overall experience in this college has been upto my satisfactory level. The quality of teaching is 2nd best in West Bengal according to me.
The course fee for MBBS was around INR 9000 per year excluding admission fee. There is also separate hostel fee and an annual fee for journal or college magazine. Bank loans are easily available in the name of Education Loan from any reputed bank in India as STATE BANK OF INDIA or HDFC or AXIS BANK or ICICI BANK or PNB, etc.
I started the internship with stipend at around INR 16000 per month. There is no system of campusing in the medical field in West Bengal.
For admission to MBBS, I gave WBJEE examination. The cut-off score was around 50%. But the competition was huge as the number of seats were only 1500 approx.
