New Alipore College was formed on 5th September 1963, the Government of West Bengal sponsored the college with a plot of land for the day college. The building was built by the Public Works Department, which remains as the main building of the college. New Alipore College celebrated its golden jubilee in 2013. Each year the college strives in building the careers of the students and shaping them into good citizens. New Alipore College Admission will be held by the college officials, willing students need to apply on the online application form. New Alipore College Courses are offered in various disciplines and the college offers only undergraduate courses in different specializations.

New Alipore College conducts seminars, excursions, social work, sports and extra-curricular activities for the students. The college provides excellent student's support by developing a Learning Management System which provides online access to question banks, e-resources, audio-visual lectures and powerpoint presentations. New Alipore College also has a women's safety program under the 'Sukanya Project' introduced by the Government of West Bengal for the female students in the college.

The College offers a three-year undergraduate programme.New Alipore College is a government-sponsored co-educational degree college affiliated to the University of Calcutta. Since its establishment, it is engrossed in offering various degree programmes to its candidates at the undergraduate (UG) level. Programmes offered here are in streams including Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Accounting and Commerce

Admission to the particular course must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.Admission to UG courses will be offered based on Merit in the Class 12 examination.. Details regarding admission criteria, eligibility, etc, are as follows:

Procedure to Apply :

• Visit College website: www.newaliporecollege.ac.in 
• Click on Online Admission.
• Please register your own mobile number, which is important for further communications during and after Admission Process
• Please remember the Application Number after submission of your Application Form. All acknowledgements /communications will be sent via SMS to your Registered Mobile Number from time to time with reference to your Application Number. 
• Print the Application Form and Pay your “Application Fee” by clicking on the “Online Admission (Click - Pay Application Fee)” again. “Application Form” will consider “Invalid” for non payment of “Application Fee”.

Documents required during admission

• Marksheet and Admit card of last qualifying exam (original and attested photocopy)
• Age Proof Certificate/ Madhyamik Admit card/ Madhyamik Certificate (original and attested photocopy)
• 3 recent stamp size photographs (color)
• Document from the required authority in support of SC/ST and OBC category (if applicable)
• Migration Certificate (original) if a candidate is migrating from other than West Bengal Council.
