The National School of Drama is one of the well known theatre training institutes in the world.This school was established in 1959 by Sangeet Natak Akadem. It is an autonomous organization and offers various courses in Dramatic arts like Modern Indian Drama, Classical Indian Drama, Aesthetics and World Drama. Online registration has begun from 12 August 2021 and last date to submit the application form are August 27th. Candidates who have already applied in July/ August 2020 for the academic year 2020-21 and are shortlisted are not required to apply again. Application form are submitted online through the official website, nsd.gov.in or offline.

• Based on the past experience of the candidate in acting and theatre , NSD Admission 2025 is allocated.
• A Candidate who holds a Bachelor’s degree in any field can also apply.

Courses Offered by National School of Drama

• National School of Drama offers PG Diploma course in Dramatic Arts. 
• It is a full time three year course.

NSD Application Form

The Application Form can be filled by both online and offline mode.

Online Mode:

• The Candidate can visit the college official website.
• They must register by using valid Email-id and Password.
• Application form must be filled with all the required details.
• Once it is filled, click on Submit button.
• Payment for Application Fee can be done via credit card/ debit card.

Offline Mode:

• The Offline Application Form is available in bookshop of National School of Drama.
• The filled application form should  be sent to The Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi in an  envelope entitled as “Application for Admission- 2025-2020”
• The Amount for application form can be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour of The Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi.

• For PG Diploma in Dramatic Arts, National School of Drama Admission Fees is 7,330/- per annum.

• PG Diploma in Dramatic arts is a full time 3 year course.
• Various specialization in Dramatic Arts are Theatre History, Literature & Aesthetics, Acting , Theatre Techniques and Design.

• What is the Eligibility Criteria to get into National School Of Drama?
  - You must have participated in atleast six theatre production or must be a graduate in Bachelor’s degree.
• Whom to contact for any admission queries?
  - You can drop a mail to this email id i.e nationalschoolofdrama@gmail.com or call to the given phone number between 9am to 4pm.
• Is there a Management quota?
  - As per my knowledge, there is no Management quota. You must have experience in theatre.
