Fees Structure and Courses of Malnad College of Engineering, [MCE] Hassan

Malnad College of Engineering, [MCE] Hassan was established in 1960 under the auspices of the Malnad Technical Education Society, Hassan. MCE was the first college to be established in the Malnad region of Karnataka state and was affiliated to the University of Mysore, until 1997-98. Malnad Technical Education Society, Hassan, is now affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum.

The college offers 9 B.E, 5 M.Tech  and MCA programmes, with about 2750 students on rolls. The college is one of the few Engineering Colleges in the country recognized for conducting the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) sponsored by the World Bank.

• MCE is at a distance of about 180 Kms. from Bangalore

• Hassan city is the Head Quarters of one of the 28 Districts in the state of Karnataka

• The college was affiliated to the University of Mysore but changed affiliation to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. In 2007 the college became autonomous.
