College is near my house, so I don't know about hostels. But the food provided in the college canteen is good.

A number of free & partially free tuitions are granted to the poor, meritorious and deserving students. Continuation of these concessions will depend on good conduct, regular attendance and satisfactory progress of the student. A number of scholarships and stipends are also available from the College. Bonafide students of the college are entitled to Tram, Bus, and Railway fare concessions subject to the fulfillment of conditions laid down by the appropriate authority. The College awards a number of prizes on the basis of the results of University Examinations. Merit prizes inclusive of endowment prizes are awarded both on the basis of overall performance as well as on the performance in individual subjects. The endowment prizes are sponsored by the faculty members, college "PRAKTANI" ex-teachers, and well-wishers. Gold plated Medals are awarded to the students securing first class marks in the Final University Examination. These prizes are awarded at a special function arranged for the purpose.

All fees, inclusive of Tuition fees (till October) are to be paid at the time of admission. Tuition Fee for every month must be paid on the last day of that month. Bus / Tram / Railway fare concession certificate, etc. will not be issued to any defaulter.
A placement cell has been formed to arrange for the placement of our students in Industries. During the past academic sessions, many students have been appointed as Programmer Trainees in leading Software companies. Interested students regularly keep contact with prof. Monali Poddar, Head of the Department of Computer Science.
The College admits students irrespective of caste, creed, and sex. Application for admission in the prescribed from the College Website online on and from the date to be notified by the college for this purpose. The following documents should be submitted at the time of admission: Original mark-sheet of the last examination passed. Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent Examination for age proof. Transfer Certificate in case of students coming from other institutions. Migration Certificate for students coming from other Universities/Boards outside W.B S.C./S.T. Every year events like sports day, the icebreaker for freshers and departmental picnics are organised.
There is no hostel inside the campus but many private hostels, PG's and mess are available in a walking distance from the campus.
Classes usually start at 10:30 am to 4:45 pm, which varies according to the courses.
The maximum fee for the college is approx INR 5000 per annum and the scholarship programme called 'VISION' is organised every year. Total no. of 15 students get the scholarship in the college.
Professors are all highly experienced and their way of teaching methods are over the line.
To apply for chemistry honours courses in this college, one must be completed 10+2 with at least 60% marks in physics and Mathematics and for Chemistry, 75% is required and the college authority chooses the students as per the merit list.
