LVPA (Chennai) programs of study follow the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) prescribed by the University Grants Commission for higher education. CBCS provides students with the opportunity to select from a list of core, elective and foundation courses within an individual program of study. This method of education provides flexibility for students in learning, allowing them to choose courses depending upon their interests and requirements. CBCS also allows students to choose interdisciplinary, intra-disciplinary and skill-based courses for their skill development. The major courses offered by the Chennai campus with its eligibility criteria are given below. Students need to meet it in order to get enrolled in the Academy.

LVPA One-Year Diploma Eligibility

The diploma is a one year program with a specialization in Digital Filmmaking. The one-year Digital Filmmaking Program gives students the all-around filmmaking experience necessary to make their own films. Divided into two semesters with one to two weeks of vacation, depending on the start date, students receive over 600 hours of hands-on instruction and actual production experience. The curriculum integrates intensive study in all the major filmmaking disciplines including screenwriting, directing, cinematography, audiography and editing. In the 2nd semester, students can choose to specialize in one of the aspects of filmmaking.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have passed class 12 or its equivalent.

LVPA Certificate Course in Film Direction Eligibility

Certificate Course in Film Direction is a Weekend course(Blended Course) in Film Direction - Preparation and Practice. The course will provide the students with an opportunity to explore the nuances of Film Direction. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have passed class 12 or above.
• Candidates who have an interest in interest in films and acting can also apply.

LVPA Certificate Course in Digital Filmmaking Eligibility

Certificate Course in digital filmmaking is a Weekend course This course will give comprehensive training in producing short films for cinema and television by senior and experienced faculty and practising filmmakers

Eligibility Criteria

• Anyone with an interest in filmmaking is eligible for this course.

LV Prasad Film and TV Academy Admission

Students can take admission to the various courses offered by the Academy by visiting the official website and applying. All applicants will be required to undergo the online examination which will be followed by a personal interview on campus. The dates for the online examination and interview will be communicated in advance to all candidates. Screen Acting students will undergo an Interview and on selection, they will pay the course fee.
