Central Library

The Institute has established a specious Library & Information Centre with an area of 9,500 sft. spread.Entrance is accommodating Circulation Books, Book Bank Books, New Papers and Back Volumes of the Periodicals Next to it Reference Books, Current Periodicals, Digital Library and Discussion Rooms etc. It is having a modern infrastructure with a reading capacity of 300 students. It is having the collection of more than 48,180 Volumes. It is subscribing more than 190+ Online E-Journals through DELNET and 213 International & Indian Journals & Magazines are inE-Learning Reference Section.

Digital Library

The Central Library is a part of the Campus wide Networking. The Library has its own sub-LAN consisting of 20 terminals. JPNCE Central Library is the institutional member of DELNET consortium.

We may access all Engineering and Management Journals and Magazines round the clock.

1. Online Journals

We are subscribed for online journals from DELNET-Developing Library Network,NewDelhi. INFOTRAC ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT JOURNALS COLLECTION. Journals from all major publishers covering almost all branches of Engineering.Unlimited access and down load facility.Multiple User Access.

2.DELNET DELNET was started at the India International Centre Library in January 1988 and was registered as a society in 1992. It was initially supported by the National Information System for Science and Technology (NISSAT), Department of Scientific and Industrial Reseach, Government of India. It was subsequently supported by the National Informatics Centre, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India and The Ministry of Culture, Government of India. DELNET has been established with the prime objective of promoting resource sharing among the libraries through the development of a network of libraries. It aims to collect, store, and disseminate information besides offering computerised services to users, to coordinate efforts for suitable collection development and also to reduce unnecessary duplication wherever possible. Hostels

JPNCE provides good hostel facility for non localite Male/Female students. We have build Boys Hostels and Girls Hostels. Both the Hostels are equipped with necessary facilities to make the stay of students comfortable. Both Girls and Boys are provided hostel accommodation in proportion to students strength in different academic programs offered on the campus. The old hostel has a capacity of 142 with 40 single seated rooms and 34 triple seated rooms and new hostel has capacity of 197 with single seated rooms and triple seated rooms. Similarly, the girls hostel has a capacity of 136 with 40 single seated and 32 triple seated rooms. The single occupancy rooms are reserved for research students and fellows, while the triple occupancy rooms are provided to post-graduate students. The admission to the hostel is purely on merit basis. Both the hostels have independent rectors from the resident senior faculty.

The hostel students are provided with hot water for bathing throughout the year. The boys and girls hostels have independent mess which is run by contract personnels to ensure the quality of food at reasonable rates. The hostels are well equipped with all basic facilities. The hostels are well ventilated, aerated and furnished with tables, chairs, fans, fluorescent light, water cooler and solar hot water facility. Each hostel has a common hall for recreation and mess for boarding, run by an authorized contractor. At present total capacity of each of the hostel is inadequate to meet the demand . Extension work of boys’ hostel building is in progress to meet the demand. However, the completion of the extension building for boys’ hostel will take at least one year. The demand had been long anticipated in view of the number of new courses started by the NMU in the recent past.
