- Sumitomo Corporation is a Japanese company that awards academic scholarships to a few colleges in India, one of which is Jai Hind College. They award 30-degree college students with a scholarship of Rs. 20,000 each (aided & unaided sections). It is an academic scholarship. The applications are reviewed, and capable Sumitomo Corporation representatives choose candidates based on consistent academic performance. Each academic year, 30 students are granted the Sumitomo scholarship.
