JJT University was started by Rajasthani Seva Sangh Mumbai in February 2009. There are 24 teaching departments: History, Political science and Public administration, Economics, Botany, Zoology, Pure and applied chemistry, Environmental studies, Remote sensing and Geo-Informatics, Foods and nutrition, Microbiology, Computer applications, Population studies, Commerce and Management studies, Law and many more.

The University has been established with a commitment to make higher education available to the door-step of all those who are deprived and provide object-oriented modular education with the emphasis on practical knowledge keeping in view the emerging industrial, business opportunities and researchers globally in different areas of science and Management. B.Tech	Candidates must secure 50% in their 10+2. Candidate must have appeared in any entrance exam(UJET/AIEEE/IIT/JEE Main/RPET)
M.Tech	Candidate must secure 60% in B.Tech. Candidate must have appeared in any exam ((UJET/AIEEE/IIT/JEE/RPET/GATE)
BBA	Candidates must secure 50% in their 10+2.
MBA	For postgraduate courses, the candidate must secure a minimum of 50% in their undergraduate course that they have pursued.
B.Sc	Candidates must secure 50% in their 10+2.
M.Sc	For postgraduate courses, the candidate must secure a minimum of 50% in their undergraduate course that they have pursued.

Application forms are issued online on the website of the university
The students must fill up the application form carefully and submit it with the required documents.
Entrance Examinations are held by the University.
All admissions are done on the basis of the entrance examination conducted by the University.
The candidate must bring all the required documents when he/she appears for the entrance examination.

Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University Hostel details:

There are separate hostels for boys and girls.
The rooms are spacious, well-ventilated, single and double sharing with attached bathroom and well furnished.
There is a medical centre within the hostel to assist students in case of medical emergencies.
There is 24 hours power supply and R.O purified water facilities in the hostels.
There is WiFi access in all the hostels.
For future, University is planning to build a 1000 students hostel capacity with fully air-conditioned rooms.
