A 16 years old institution imparting quality technical education, a premier among private institutions under JNTU, Ananthapuramu and a pride of Rayalaseema region was founded in the year 1998 by Er.A.V.Prathap Reddy, an illustrious alumnus of BITS-Pilani and by Sri.M.Ramaiah, a business entrepreneur turned educationist, as a registered body of Intel Educational Society. Some of the institutions under the society are Intel Junior College, Intel Degree College, Intel Institute of Science, Intel Institute of Teacher Training, Sri Krishnadevaraya Engineering College, Intellectual Institute of Technology and Sri Venkateswara Engineering College (New Delhi).
The visionaries have motto concept “Intelligence is Power Supreme”. Intell Engineering College is approved by AICTE (New Delhi), affiliated to JNTU, Ananthapuramu, along with life memberships from Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Institution of Engineers India(IEI) and is in MoU with Oracle University, IEG-JKC (star status), Mission 10X (Wipro). IGNOU Vertically Integrated Engineering Education Programme (VIEP) has started from Jan 2010. The college is equipped with state of the art Digital Library granted by US based Tidaldata.
The college is now offering education in five disciplines. The college is situated on the outskirts of Ananthapuramu about 6 kms from railway station on kalyandrug road. The college is well equipped with good laboratories, library and other infrastructure.
Ananthapuramu is a spiritual and educational district in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh . Ananthapuramu town is situated on NH-7 connection between Hyderabad and Bangalore. It is also connected by broad gauge railway line to various Cosmo cities in India. It is the home town of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Puttaparthy and is about 70 kms from Ananthapuramu.
