Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship

IFMR Chennai scholarships are available to students in need of financial assistance from the School. The IFMR Chennai scholarship goal is to ensure that a deserving student is not denied education due to financial constraints. This procedure is intended for students who are in desperate need of financial assistance.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum CGPA of 3.33 (equivalent to a ‘B+’ grade average) at the end of Term-3
• Household annual income less than INR 10 lakhs

The academic administration office notifies eligible students to apply for the Merit-cum-Means IFMR Chennai scholarship based on their CGPA at the end of term-3. These IFMR Chennai scholarships are only awarded to students who need them. The committee makes this decision based on the information provided by the student and, if necessary, a personal interview with them. IFMR Chennai scholarship is awarded to the top ten students who meet the eligibility conditions based on the recommendation of the scholarship committee. The scholarship is worth up to INR 2 lakhs per student.

T. Thomas Scholarship for Business Leaders

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) awards the T. Thomas Scholarship for business leaders to a second-year MBA student based on academic performance at the end of term 3. The IFMR Chennai scholarship is worth INR 1 lakh. The registrar's office shares the list of toppers with HUL to determine the winner based on the criteria mentioned.

Merit Scholarships

The following merit scholarships are awarded based on the CGPA at the end of the second year.

• INR 2 lakhs for first place
• Three students from the next three ranks will each receive INR 1 lakh.

CFA-CMA-IFMR GSB University Affiliation Program Partnership

Every year, under the CFA UAP Programme, IFMR GSB nominates eligible students for a number of IFMR GSB scholarships given by the CFA institute to take the coveted CFA Programme while pursuing their MBA at IFMR GSB, Krea University.
