The eligibility varies from course to course. Below is a brief of the eligibility criteria of the various courses offered by ICAT Hyderabad:

BVA (Game Art & Design, Animation, Photography, Multimedia Technology, Visual Effects)	Candidates must have completed 12th, or Candidate must have 3 years of Diploma from recognized University after 10th.
BVA (Game Programming)	Candidate must have +2 or its equivalent with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects. Candidate with knowledge of C, C++, or C# will be preferred
PG Diploma (Interior Design, Game Development, Game Design, and Animation)	The candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
PG Diploma (Game Development)	Candidate must completed B.E / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. / B.Sc. Computer Science / BCA / B.Sc. Information Technology, or Candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline with proficiency in C, C++ or C# and Physics and Maths as subjects from a recognized university. Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
