Hindu College of Pharmacy is one of the pioneer institutes in Pharmacy Education established in 1978 located in Haryana, India. The college was founded by The Sonepat Hindu Educational and Charitable Society to provide quality pharmaceutical education to students. Initially, the college started with a Diploma in Pharmacy program under the State Board of Technical Education, Panchkula, Haryana. Then in 1995, the college introduced its Bachelor of Pharmacy under Affiliation from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak but currently, the program is affiliated to Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Science, Rohtak, and in 2007 the institute began its Master of Pharmacy Programs.

HCP spreads across 2.16 acres of land with lush green lawns, classrooms with audio-visual aids, air-conditioned conference rooms, faculty rooms, generators, Wi-Fi, and a cafeteria for students.

In the past 40 years, the institution has made significant contributions in building professional skills such as community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, clinical & industrial pharmacy. The college has made rapid progress towards reaching its mission to strengthen, sustain, and professionalize pharmacy knowledge through research, teaching and learning by integrating with establishments, organizations, and universities.

Hindu College of Pharmacy offers a Diploma program, two undergraduate programs, and one postgraduate program for its prospective students applying. The Diploma and PG programs are for a duration of 2 years, the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Bachelor of Pharmacy (LEET) is for a duration of 4 and 3 years respectively. D. Pharm.:

D.Pharm is a diploma course in the field of Pharmacy. It is a 2-year program.  Hindu College of Pharmacy is a full-time course. It is also approved by the State Board Of Technical Education, Panchkula Haryana.

B. Pharm:

B.Pharm is a 4-year full-time semester course. The course by Hindu College of Pharmacy is offered in 8 semesters. It is approved by Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

B. Pharm. (LEET):

The course is a 3-year full-time program offered by Hindu College of Pharmacy. It is offered in 6 semesters approved by Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

M. Pharm (Pharmaceutics):

Master of Pharmacy commonly known as M.Pharm is a 2-year full-time course. It specializes in Pharmaceutics and is divided into 4 semesters. M.Pharm of Hindu College of Pharmacy is approved by Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak.

Hindu College of Pharmacy Infrastructure:

HCP has a number of facilities such as a Library, a herbal garden, conference room, hostel facility, cafeteria, Wi-Fi, sports center, animal house, and laboratories. The library in HCP provides its students with a number of relevant books, reports, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, pharmacopeias, etc. There are almost 2400 titles and 24000 pharmaceutical books. Conference halls at the college are well equipped with a public address system that facilitates program delivery by using audio-visual inputs such as slide presentations, video clips, and video lessons. HCP has a spacious and well-furnished cafeteria facility on-campus serving lunch, snacks, tea, coffee, and cold drinks for reasonable and pocket-friendly rates. The internet bandwidth provided at the college is Broadband BSNL 16Mbps. HCP has an excellent indoor sports arena and a lush green playground for outdoor sports activities.

  • The candidates are selected through merit prepared by Haryana State Counselling Society based on the qualifying examination marks in the Senior Secondary Level.
  • For candidates applying through the 25% management quota seats, the admission is made through a merit list prepared based on the marks obtained in the Qualifying Exam.
B.Pharm/B.Pharm (LEET)
  • The candidates for admission are selected based on the criteria laid down by Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Science, Rohtak.
M.Pharm
  • The candidates for admission are selected based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as laid down by Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Science, Rohtak.
  • Candidates who have qualified in the GPAT exams are given higher preferences.

Hindu College of Pharmacy Admission:

Each year the college takes in a limited number of students for its admission process. The admission form can be filled online or can also be downloaded. The soft copy of the scanned copy of the application along with a passport size photograph should be sent to the college by mail to hcpadmission78@gmail.com.

 

Hindu College of Pharmacy Hostel Details:

The college has a separate hostel facility for both boys and girls with a completely secure resident guarded by the institution’s own security personnel. The hostel allocation is done on a first come first serve basis and no recommendation is entertained. The hostel mess is run on a co-operative basis by the mess committee formed by the residential students and the committee adheres to strict standards of hygiene.
