The establishment of the World University of Design (WUD) in Sonipat took place in 2018. It holds the second position among the top 10 private universities in India that offer professional education. The University Grants Commission (UGC) recognizes this private institution located in Sonipat, Haryana. With a 12-acre campus, it operates as a coeducational university. 

World University of Design offers a diverse range of programs including diplomas, undergraduate degrees, postgraduate degrees, and doctoral programs. World University of Design Collaborations

World University of Design maintains a worldwide perspective. It is the EU's ERASMUS plus program's youngest university to be given a design and innovation capacity-building grant. WUD is collaborating with a group of international universities, including Brunel University in the United Kingdom, the University of Aegean in Greece, and IIITD Delhi.
