The class timing is from 9 am to 3 pm. The teaching is very good. My experience in our college is very good. The college library, canteen, and the auditorium are very good.
Class timing is from 8:30 am. Projects, exams and assignment did during class timing. Nice quality and method of teaching. Overall experience in college was good.
Separate student societies, clubs association on campus. Krishnan Janmashtami, essay writing, painting competition and blood donation camp held every year. In general college life is good.
Hindu Girls College was started as a girls wing of Hindu College, Sonepat in 1958 with the intention of extending education to girls of the region. It acquired a separate entity in 1982. It has a glorious tradition committed to excellence and women empowerment. It enjoys a pride of place amongst the educational institutions of the NCR and is one of the most sought after institutes renowned for inculcating the right values while making the girls techno savvy. More than 2300 students pass out every year as conscientious, noble and sensible citizens proudly carrying lasting impressions of the institute.
The college imparts education in all the three disciplines - Arts, Science and Commerce. Keeping pace with the times, the college runs vocational courses like BCCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Bio Tech), BBA and BCA at UG level. The college can boast of PG in Economics, Sanskrit, Mathematics, English and Geography. There is a PG Diploma in Computer Applications also.
The college has a perfect ambience with its big, airy and well furnished classrooms in magnificent multi-storeyed buildings. It is environment friendly with its exquisite flora and fauna. the college is steered by a highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty of 82 of which 44 are M.Phil and Ph.D. They keep themselves abreast of the latest developments by pursuing research, higher studies, attending seminars/workshop and publishing.
Excellence in academics is the hallmark of the institute. A major share of the university positions is claimed by the college year after year.
The college is run under the aegis of Hindu Educational and Charitable Society. The management is ever anxious to provide the latest facilities to enhance the already enormous and up-to-date infrastructure. The sole aim of these philanthropists being that no deserving girls is deprived of education for want of money. Extra curricular and co-curricular activities are regularly organised to hone the latent talents of our students. The college contributes to the nation building with its 3 NSS units, one NCC battalion, Rangers, Red Cross and Red Robin Club. Hindu Educational and Charitable Society has been a torch bearer in the field of education in the region. Hindu Girls College has its genesis in Hindu College Sonepat - a Co-ed Institute which later bifurcated into two independent colleges namely Hindu College and Hindu Girls College keeping in view the need and demand for women's education. Corporate Resource Cell, an association of faculty members and students, deals with training and placement needs of the students.
