HPTU Entrance Exams 2025
HPTU admission is granted based on the respective entrance exams for the different courses they provide. For B.Tech, the candidates should have a valid JEE Main score for admission. For M.Tech, the candidates should have a qualifying score in GATE for the final selection in HPTU. FAQs on HPTU (HIMTU) Admission
Q: What is the Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses?
A: The admission to B.Pharm. under Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made on the idea of merit of diploma in Pharmacy conducted by H.P. Takniki Shiksha Board. as long as if seats under lateral entry scheme remain vacant, an equivalent shall be filled up from the candidates who have passed diploma in Pharmacy from the other recognized University/Board. Merit in 10+2 is required for admission to B.Sc. HMCT and BBA programs. For B.Arch. either NATA or the share of JEE Main Paper-II (B.Arch/ B.Planning) are going to be taken into consideration. Merit in school 12th also will be considered, making it a 50-50 weightage. There is 5% marks relaxation for SC/ST students altogether the courses.
Q: What is the Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech?
A: HPTU offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree with ten different specializations. Duration of all the B.Tech courses is four years. the school also accepts lateral entry (direct admission in second year) altogether the B.Tech courses that the duration is 3 years. All the candidates with 45% marks in school 12th with Physics and arithmetic as compulsory subjects can apply for B.Tech course under Direct Entry. For appying under the Lateral entry scheme of B.Tech. program, the candidate should have a diploma/ B.Sc. with a minimum of 45% marks.

The file size of the photograph and signatures should not exceed 50kb and 30 kb separately for every file. · Additionally, take care at putting the category the candidate belongs to, otherwise, the candidate are going to be considered from the overall category. · Candidates who haven’t appeared for HPCET need to pay application processing fee of INR 1550/- for candidates of General category and INR 1400/- for candidates of Reserved Categories before submitting the appliance form. · Click on “ Final submit”.
