Library

Gujarat Power Engineering and Research Institute Library which is well-known as “Readers Paradise” is the heart of the institute which aims to provide an ideal ambience for both creation & dissemination of knowledge, information, insights & intellect in all its academic programs. The institute has utilized Information Technology extensively to ensure that the resources are accessible anytime from anywhere. Our role is to provide access to the information resources required by students, researchers and faculties of Engineering and Technology of the GPERI for research, learning and teaching. There is a wealth of material to support learning and research at the College with collection of over 7000+ books, 32 current subscriptions to national/international journals and 5 newspapers, 350+ CD ROMs and an extensive range of high quality electronic resources. Many resources are accessible from off-campus via the Internet.

Readers Paradise spread over 450 sq.mtr., also provides access to the best of Engineering and Technology related digital resources through its subscription to various databases consisting of scholarly and industry relevant content. The institute library is also involved in organizing various programs on Climate Change, Self-development and Communication Skills etc.
The extensive library facilities includes Circulation, Reading Room with 110 seating capacity, 10 internet enabled multimedia PCs, Reprography services like Printing, Scanning & Photocopy. Readers Paradise has Organizational Membership of British Library Ahmedabad which provides wide range of UK based resources.

Classroom

The Institute has classrooms where teaching learning process is carried out. GPERI has well structured & well designed classroom with all facilities. All classrooms have Projectors facility.

Workshop

Workshop at Gujarat Power Engineering and Research Institute includes various workshop sections which provide training and exposure to undergraduate and post graduate students to carry out their internship projects and research work.

Workshop sections includes:

• Fitting Shop
• Tin Smithy Shop
• Welding Shop
• Smithy Shop
• Machine Shop
• Computer Aided Design (CAD) Centre
• Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) Centre

Auditorium

Institute has wide auditioriam with capacity of around 300 studetns. All workshops, conferences & seminars and orientation function is carried out at Auditoriam.

Hostel

The Institute is exploring avenues to arrange for hostel facilities in the nearby locations. Students can also stay in mehsana on rented basis as many such facilities are available in the city.

Sports

The Institute will develop sports facilities for the students which will help in the holistic development of the students. The institute has currently developed:

• Football ground
• Cricket ground

The institute will further construct infrastructure facilities like:

• Basketball ground
• Vollyball ground
• Athletics area

Transportation

The Institute provide transporation facility for students coming from Ahemdabad-Gandhinagar.

Medical

The Institute has sperate Medical room for providing medical related facilities for studetns & college staff.

Wi-Fi

Internet and Wi-fi facility College is having a10 Mbps Internet connection, locally networked and connected through wi-fi also to the central server are available for students for their project work and preparing seminar presentations. It also access to e-books, study materials, previous question papers daily circulars, etc. through the college Local Area Network.Internet facilities in the well-equipped internet lab, providing high speed of connectivity the student can surf the net together unlimited information.
