A candidate must have passed intermediate(10+2) in science stream with biology as a subject. Age of candidate should be more than 16 years. A b.sc graduate in biology can also apply. Entrance exam has three subjects biology, chemistry, physics so focus must be on them. Cutoff varies for different categories. A general candidate can expect cutoff around 75-80%. Selection and admission are through merit list depending upon candidate's performance in the exam.

Placements & Internships : After 4.5 years, of course, there is a 1year compulsory internship in Government Medical College of Akola. A monthly stipend of around Rs. 7000 to 8000 is allowed.
