The School of Sciences at GITAM at Hyderabad is a few months young with an energetic community of teachers, who sturdily consider that learning is a continuous process. They are dynamic and highly passionate about imparting the best quality of education, stressing both knowledge and values. This ensures that graduating students are not only intellectually sound but also become socially responsible citizens. It is a pleasure to share pride to be amongst such vibrant staff members.

The faculty have enriched themselves with doctoral degrees and are pursuing many innovative scientific research projects with generous funding from agencies like UGC, DST and BRNS, all contributing to understanding fundamental phenomena in basic sciences. A very good research culture has been established on the GITAM campus with around 20 scholars working on basic science projects as a part of their PhD program.

GITAM School of Science Eligibility Criteria

Students must meet the minimum eligibility criteria in order to be able to apply for a course. Mentioned below are the eligibility criteria of the major courses offered by the institute.

GITAM B.Sc Eligibility

• The candidate must have passed intermediate with Mathematics as one of the courses (Subject) and with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

GITAM M.Sc Eligibility

• The candidate must have completed B.Sc with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and Physics, Mathematics, and any other subject.
• For the Data Science course, a pass in BCA or B.Sc degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or a pass in any degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks along with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer science as one of the subjects is required.

GITAM PhD Eligibility

• Candidates must have completed their Masters (10+2+3+2) in the relevant subjects.
