GIFT has a dedicated cell called Self Development & Placement (SD & P) responsible to carry out all the aspects of placements. The SD & P identifies all the corporate needs & demands from time to time and prepares its prospective graduates by providing adequate training.
- Gandhi Institute for Technology Internships: GIFT assists students in landing an internship with the main objective of technical knowledge exposure in the industrial environment and to let students know about modern technology, to develop project report writing process, to understand the psychology of workers, to develop team spirit, responsibility, ethics, etc. A B.Tech student to undergoes 600 to 700 hours of internship during his/ her course i.e.- full time 1 month of training at the end of 1st. year, 2nd. Year & 3rd. a year during summer vacation. However, a student can undergo part-time internship training for the same hours during each semester which is subject to condition.
