Footwear Design & Development Institute was established in 1986, under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. Footwear Design & Development Institute popularly known as FDDI conducts a range of professional courses in the area of Retail Management, Footwear Design, Technology, Management, Fashion Merchandising, Business Management, Visual Merchandizing, Marketing, Creative Designing & CAD/CAM and Leather Goods & Accessories Design, etc. The long-term courses are of two to three years duration. FDDI Noida is playing a key role in imparting education, and facilitating the Indian industry by bridging the skill gap in the areas of Footwear, Leather Accessory & lifestyle product, and because of its continuous contribution towards nation-building, FDDI has been granted the status of “An Institution of National Importance” under the FDDI Act 2017.
