DSMNRU Scholarship Details

Fees & Scholarships : My course fee is Rs.5000 per semester so about Rs.10000 per year. Scholarships are provided by the UP government, and also you can get back your whole fee amount through the scholarship plan.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel fee is 2000-3000 for the whole semester, there are hostels for both girls and boys. No PGs are available outside college but the hostels are big enough to provide rooms to students. The quality of food is good, the students are provided with breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner. Quality of classrooms is average. The library is good.

Clubs & Associations : NSS and ABVP are active in college. College foundation day is celebrated, independence day, republic day etc. are also celebrated. Convocation and other functions and activities keep on happening at different time intervals.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : 12th passed students with any recognised board are eligible to apply for admission in BA course. No entrance exam conducted for BA. The first cut off was above 74% for general category. But the last cut off can go up to 50% for general category and also seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC and specially-abled students. University atmosphere is good. Students can also be a part of NSS. Different celebrations and functions also take place. The library is also good.

Placements & Internships : I am a first-year BA student so I don't know much about these specifications. But there are different research scholars in my course who have studied from my own university, they do a good job and also get paid for their research work by the government.

Academics & Faculty : The classes start at 9:35 am onwards and can go up to 4:30 pm. We are given 1 assignment or presentation per subject per semester. There is one mid-semester exam and then the semester exam. Quality and method of teaching are average, classes run regularly according to the timetable, teachers also come on time to give lectures. Overall experience in good, there is hostel facility for both girls and boys, a bank of Baroda is situated inside the campus, lifts and other facilities are available in every single building, facilities for differently-abled students are best. No ragging with peaceful environment.
