Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute, Pune was established in 1821. The college is AICTE approved and also has a NAAC 'A' accreditation. The college is the third oldest Institution in the country and was established amongst the first 45 Universities of the country. The college specializes in past and present Heritage of the country and is well reputed at the international level.

Courses	Eligibility
MA	The candidate should have basic minimum qualification Bachelor's degree with minimum 55% [50% for reserved category candidates] aggregate. The candidates should have appeared for the Common Entrance Test [CET] and will have to face a basic interview for the admissions.
Ph.D	The candidates should have qualified their MA/ M.Sc degree with a minimum of 55%[50%for SC/ ST/ PH] aggregate. The candidate should have qualified from a recognized University approved by the University Grants Commission.
Diploma/Certificate	The candidate should have a Masters Degree or an Equivalent Degree in any subject from a recognized University. Any working or Non-working candidate is eligible for this course.
