About Dasmesh College of Nursing, Faridkot
Dasmesh College/School of Nursing has been established under Sangat Sahib Bhai Pheru Sikh Educational Society, Faridkot which was established for imparting education to all communities. The college is attached with 100 bedded multispecialty Dasmesh General Hospital Faridkot. The focus is on providing medical and educational facilities to the down trodden strata of the society with particular focus on women education. The society is continuously working to maintain the centre of excellence for the pursuit of higher studies in nursing and dental sciences.
The students are taught by qualified and motivated professionals who are capable in providing the skills and knowledge needed to meet the challenges of today. The teachers are noted for their professionalism and friendliness and are ever eager to help students to achieve greater academic success. Admissions as per existing rules and regulations of Punjab Govt, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Indian Nursing Council and Punjab Nurses Registration Council.
1. M.Sc Nursing Course:
Candidate should have passed B.Sc(N)/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc(N) course with minimum 55% aggregate, should be registered with any State Nursing Council and should have one year of teaching/clinical experience. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
2. Basic B.Sc Nursing course:
Candidate should have passed Senior Secondary Exam or equivalent examination from a recognized board in science stream with not less than 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together.
3. B.Sc (N) Post Basic nursing course:
Candidates with General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M) course of 3 ½ years of duration and must be registered with State Nursing Council are eligible.
4. General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M):
Candidate should have passed Senior Secondary Exam or equivalent examination from a recognized board in any stream with 40% marks in aggregate.
5. Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (A.N.M)
Candidate should have passed Senior Secondary exam or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board.
Note: Eligibility criteria as per norms of Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, P.N.R.C and Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
