LIBRARY

A spacious and well stacked Learning Resource Centre is available to the staff & students, consisting of a large collection of books pertaining to Engineering, Management & Applied Sciences. The collection is continuously updated to cater the growing needs of faculty and students. Various technical journals are subscribed for the benefit of the students & faculty. Online access to e-resources has been set-up via IP enabling. The reading section of the library, with subscription to many periodicals, is kept open for staff and students even after normal working hours.

HOSTEL

CIT runs separate hostels for boys & girls. The boys-hostel is located on-campus while the girls-hostel is located off-campus. The hostels are managed by a warden assisted by a deputy warden residing within the hostel premises. All the hostel rooms are well furnished and healthy food is served. The students are strictly expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostels. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Any deviation from the rules and regulations will result in disciplinary action which may include expulsion from the institute.

CAFETERIA

A brand new state-of-the-art cafeteria hygienically maintained caters to the needs of the staff and students. It serves nutritional and balanced food throughout the day. It is a place for the tired minds to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and engage in intellectual discussions.

CIT CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY

The CIT staff and students Consumers Co-Operative Society was established in the year 2003 in the campus to cater to the needs of both students and staff. The Consumers Co-operative Society store stationeries, educational aids and also provides Xerox/copier facility for the benefit of our students and staff

TRANSPORTATION

The Institute owns several buses that operate from various parts of the city to the campus for the benefit of staff and students. At present, there are 26 buses dedicated for transportation. The buses pick up students and staff from several centralized locations in the city close to many residential neighbourhoods. Students and staff are utilizing the precious commute time to discuss/debate various topics ranging from current news, academics, research and project work.

IT FACILITIES

CIT has well established state-of-the-art Computer Centres housing over 750 computer systems, connected over LAN. Internet connectivity of 10 Mbps leased line round the clock is available.

CIT is a Wifi Enabled campus. Dedicated lab for internet browsing with high end computers are available round the clock for the benefit of students.

CIT has a Campus Agreement with Microsoft Inc. for all the genuine Microsoft products being used for Academic & Research purposes.

CLASSROOMS

The classrooms are spread across 3 buildings. Each classroom is well lit and can accommodate more than 80 students. The seating arrangement is such that the students can get an unhindered view of the faculty and teaching aids from all sides. CIT has brought technology into most of the classrooms for effective presentation of course material. Many of the classrooms are equipped with ceiling mounted LCD projector.

AUDITORIUM

A well furnished auditorium which can accommodate more than 500 students is centrally located on the campus. The auditorium is routinely used for guest lectures, technical seminars, pre-placement training and extra-curricular activities.

BOARDROOM

IA state-of-the-art well furnished boardroom is located in the Administrative block. Although, the boardroom is primarily used to host meetings with dignitaries, it is also used as a podium for presentations and interactions with invited speakers and our own Post-graduate students.
