The main festival is the annual festive and couple of minor events throughout the year. In general, college life is great.
The library sometimes won't be able to provide you with books during exams due to limited availability. The labs, halls, etc., are equipped with everything necessary, and the overall infrastructure is decent.
The class timings are quite manageable, and there would be projects by the end of every semester, a project for each subject, and a major project where you can use and create whatever you want. Overall learning with the college is good.
Brainware University, Kolkata Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 2 Lakh.
The college has multiple eligibility criteria for scholarship options; if you have a good percentage in your 10th and 12th, you will get discounts on your course fee.
The placement was quite decent, in fact, better than I expected it to be. We had more than 50 companies visited the campus and multiple off-campus drives. I personally got interviewed by five organizations, and anyone eligible had a similar kind of experience in terms of placement. There were a lot of Sales & BPO profiles, though.
The eligibility criteria were 50% in 12th and must have studied Maths as a subject. The admission procedure is merit-based, and you have to go in with all your original documents. The college doesn't require any mandatory entrance exam.
In college, there are many clubs like Communication Clubs, Innovation Club, Cine Club, Photo Club, etc. And there are many festivals organized like Tech Fest, Annual Fest, Annual Sports, etc.
The food at college is very good. There so many types of food available. There are two food court and another food court for hostelers.
The class starts at 10 am. There are 3 shifts every day. The morning shift starts at 8 am. The day shift starts at 10 am and the evening shift starts at 6 pm.
No scholarships are available. Loans are not necessary, but some of the students needed loans. In our college Allahbad Bank availed loans. Account Officer can inform better about it.
Our college conducts an entrance test named Brainware Entrance Test. The candidate who passes the HS exam can apply for the entrance exam.
Candidates are required to score more than 60% in 10+2 board exam with PCM to get admission in this college. There will be an internal exam which will be conducted by the college itself.
Annual fest is organized once every year. The fresher welcome is also given every year.
3-4 buildings are there. And a separate canteen building. A separate girl's hostel and boy's hostel.
Classes are between 9.40 am-5.10 pm. Modern labs and libraries having good stock. Nice faculty too.
The Average Course Fee at Brainware University is INR 2 lakhs for 3 years course. For B.Tech, it ranges from INR 3 lakhs to INR 4 lakhs. 20-25 get the scholarship based on 12th class marks.
Not, yet done any internship but attendance will be given if someone is going to the internship outside. IT companies come for placement of placement. As we are the first batch of Brainware University no idea of placement yet.
A student must have the minimum of 50% marks at the higher secondary exams and there is attractive scholarship also given for bright students (60% plus).
