A notable fact about the college is that it is ragging-free, enabling a more holistic approach towards senior and junior students bonding. The entire campus is wifi enabled. However, many times, the speed for the same comes into question.

The infrastructure development for the laboratories is also sterling. Each department has its facilities. Here’s a look at some of the laboratory facilities, machines, and more:

Brainware University has a good library. It has a stack room of 1682 square metres and a total of 2968 square metres of reading room. The library hosts national and international journals, career guidebooks, magazines, manuscripts, and more.

Brainware University has limited sports facilities. Although sports events are held regularly. The campus has security, and overall, it is very safe and secure for the students to conduct their daily campus activities.

Quality Hostel Facilities

Ask any student, and they all are extremely satisfied with the facilities provided at the Brainware University’s hostel. The hostel is located on the campus, thereby reducing the commuting hassle. The hostel rooms are equipped with standard amenities and are very clean and hygienic.

The hostel rooms are available in sharing and single room occupancy. Approximately the hostel fees cost between INR 84,000 - 1,20,000 per year. Given this, many students may find the hostel fees to be a bit on the expensive side. Since the college is located in a populated area, students who wish to stay outside the hostel can easily avail of paying guest facilities at nominal rates. The PGs are well-furnished and have all the basic amenities.

Equitable Program Fees

Brainware University has not set expensive program fees for any of its courses. Given the facilities, placements, career guidance, etc., they provide, charges are reasonable. Brainware University has been generous in providing various scholarships to students based on social and merit. Students are granted scholarships from the government as well as from the college.

The university prepares the students for the placements through multiple workshops, seminars and skill development programmes. It also conducts written examinations for the placements to help the students. 

More than 500 companies visit the campus for placements. The highest package offered is INR 36 LPA. Students are offered internship assistance as well. Moreover, the college has recognised the importance of earning while still studying. It helps students to pay for their daily expenses. Hence, the final year students are encouraged to work part-time at various departments within the university. 

Diverse Student Ecosystem

Students from various backgrounds can be seen amongst the Brainware University campus crowd. Due to its multiple scholarships and reasonable fees, many marginalised and minority students are able to afford the courses. However, only a few students can be seen from out of the state. Students mainly from West Bengal are admitted to the college. The college also accepts international students, although their share could be much higher.

Brainware University hosts many cultural events. The student bodies are engaged in making these events successful through cumulative effort. Overall, the students enjoy a joyful campus life. 

One thing that Brainware University is strict about is its attendance policy. Students must adhere to the set attendance requirement in order to write the final exam. They are also stringent about who enters the college campus, and a thorough security check is done for the same. Even though there are no strict rules and regulations or dress code or uniform, students are expected to maintain a basic decorum. 

Since the college is located in a well-connected area, students will find a lot of places to hang out after college. Hostellers can find local markets where they can get their daily essentials.

Is Brainware University Worth it?

Brainware University does provide a good educational opportunity with an amazing placement record for the students. If one’s main agenda is to be placed at a reputed company with substantial industry knowledge, then one can look forward to Brainware University. The college also provides standard well, maintained various laboratories and equipment.
