With lacking infrastructure and uncertain placement opportunities, BNM Institute of Technology’s future seems to be in turmoil.

Apart from its experienced and qualified faculty members, BNM Institute of Technology, Bangalore, needs help to keep pace with the top engineering colleges in Bangalore. While NIRF has previously ranked it, the college still must upgrade its infrastructure with time.

The students can be heard grumbling about its lack of facilities. Often, BNM Institute of Technology, Bangalore, is compared to a school rather than a university for the absence of professional educational facilities.

Table of Contents

Conventional Course Curriculum

BNM Institute of Technology has a standard course structure for all its programmes. It is in line with the format suggested by the AICTE. The institute offered undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees.

BNM Institute of Technology focuses on a limited specialized area. The students are presented with only a handful of fields of study, whether in research or other professional degrees.

BNM Institute of Technology faculties come with over 15 years of experience. Many of them are Ph.D. degree holders. They are dedicated to their teaching and are approachable. They are keen on answering the queries of the students with utmost sincerity. Perhaps this is the only aspect of the institute that the students can rarely be heard complaining about. The students are satisfied with the faculty members' efficiency and knowledge.

The institute has a dedicated Teaching Learning Centre (TLC). The agenda of the TLC is to maximize the benefits of academic, research and innovative idea implementation. They look after refining and enhancing the present educational and research facilities.

Is BNM Institute of Technology’s Research Facilities Good?

Even with quality faculties involved in research projects, the research area needs to catch up regarding equipment, laboratory facilities and industry projects. The following research and laboratory facilities are available to the students:

UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (Single Beam)

UV-absorption spectrometer

BOD Incubator and Centrifuge

Digital Storage Oscilloscope

Kinematic Viscosity Measurement Meter

High-end desktop system with Quadro RTX 5000

10w Solar panels

Programmable Logic Controller & Human Machine Interface Kit

Hot air oven and Gaussian

The research facilities should have been revamped for a technology university offering courses in new areas such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to include sophisticated devices. Even with budget constraints, lab equipment could have been provided to enhance the practical learning experience.

Compared to other facilities, the library at the BNM Institute of Technology, Bangalore, has been well stocked. It houses 73805 print and e-books, 896 bound volumes, 2746 CD-ROMS, and numerous projects. The library is also catered through the online space via the Dspace software. Students can access e-books, e-journals, news clippings, faculty publications, and many more through the online library.

Mentor Graphics

Innovaskill Technologies

Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital (RRMCH)

Digital Shark Technologies
