New Law College, Ahmednagar The parent institution of the New Law College is Ahmednagar Zilha Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Ahmednagar, which was founded in the year 1918. It is a pioneer educational institution in the district. Initially the Society started a Maratha Boarding for poor students in the name of Late Karveer Hutatma Chhatrapati Chauthe Shivaji Maharaj father of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj who bravely fought against the British Rulers, www.nikejanoski.es and was tortured confined and killed in the Fort at Ahmednagar. Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur donated some amount to the boarding. The founders of the society were highly motivated and inspired by the teaching of Late Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Maharshi Vitthal Ramaji Shinde, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, Karmveer Bhaurao Patil and others.
The parent institution has started its first high school named as Tagore High School in the year 1941, which was successfully named as Residential High School in the year 1943.Which received assistance and encouragement from Shrimant Shahu Maharaj, Kolhapur (Maharashtra).
The parent institution which was started with meager funds and means collected grain and contributions from public and now it has grown to such an enormous size that, it has about 88 units in various disciplines imparting education to about 41,000 students and employing more than 2000 employees. Eminent personalities associated with the society are Late Shri G. R. Mhaske, Ex-M.L.A., Late Shri K. B. Mhaske, Ex-M.L.A., Late Shri C. B. Athare Patil, Ex- M. P., Late Shri Bhaskarrao Auti, Ex-M.L.A., Late Shri P. Y. Phalke, Educationalist Ex-M.L.C., Late Shri Raobahadur Nawale, Late Smt.Hirabai and Late Shri P. K. Bhapkar, Ex- M. L. A., Late Commrade Bhagwat, Ex-M. L. A., Late Dr. Shridhar Kate, F.R.C.S., Late Shri. H. K. Kale, Shri Justice S. B. Mhase Patil, Adv. Ramrao Adik, Ex-Dy. Chief Minister and Ex-Advocate General of Maharashtra.

Courses & Eligibility : 

B.A.LL.B. (Five Year Law Course)

Eligibility : For admission to the B.S.L LL.B (5 Year Law Course) the eligibility required is Class XIIth or an equivalent with minimum 40% marks for candidates belonging to S.C / S.T. and 45% marks for others.

LL.B. (Three Year Law Course)

Eligibility  : To be eligible for admission for LL.B. a candidate must be a graduate of any faculty of any University whose degree is recognized to be equivalent to the corresponding degree of Pune University. The candidate should have secured a minimum 40% marks for candidates belonging to S.C. / S.T. and 45% marks for others.

Diploma Courses (D.T.L., DLL & LW, ADR)

Eligibility : To be eligible for admission to diploma courses, a candidate must be a graduate of any faculty of any University whose degree is recognized to be equivalent to the corresponding degree of Pune University.

  • College has well-established Library situated in a separate building. The ground floor was constructed with financial assistance of U.G.C. in 1978 under IXth Plan. It is worth to mention that the first floor of library building was also constructed with the financial assistance from U.G.C. under Xth Plan in the year 2004 on which the facility of Reading Room and Information Center made available to the students.
