Agni College of Technology, Chennai, founded in 2001 by the Sri Balaji Charitable and Educational Trust, addresses the rising demand for skilled engineers. The campus features modern facilities, including classrooms, labs, workshops, a computer center, and a library, supported by dedicated faculty. Located in Thalambur, 20 km from Adyar, the college is AICTE-approved, affiliated with Anna University, NBA-accredited, and ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Agni College of Technology Admission

Agni College of Technology selects students based on their performance in qualifying and entrance exams.

B.E. Admissions: Candidates must have completed Class XII/2nd PUC with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, achieving a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics, along with one optional subject. Admissions are conducted through TNEA by Anna University.

M.E. Admissions: Applicants must hold a relevant bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks.

M.Tech Admissions: A valid GATE or TANCET score is required.

Ph.D. Admissions: Candidates must have a master’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks and qualify through a Research Aptitude Test and Personal Interview.

Sports:-

Agni College of Technology encourages students to engage in sports with facilities for cricket, football, tennis, volleyball, athletics, and an international-standard indoor stadium for basketball, badminton, table tennis, and squash. Separate gyms for boys and girls ensure fitness, overseen by the Physical Director.

Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Silambam, Archery, Cricket, Throwball, and Athletics.

Library:-

The Central Library at Agni College of Technology houses 71,670 books and 9,631 titles, along with Springer and IEEE online journals. Spanning 5,000 sq. ft., it provides a peaceful environment and modern facilities to support academic success.

The library also offers NPTEL video lectures and Anna EDUSAT interactive content via the campus intranet. A book bank is available for students in need. The library operates from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The college provides separate hostels for boys and girls, featuring spacious rooms, internet access, modern kitchens, dining areas, reading rooms, TVs, and telephones. Strict discipline and designated study hours are enforced.

Transport:-

A fleet of buses connects the campus to key locations in Chennai and nearby suburbs. Transport fees must be paid in advance and are non-refundable.

Health Center:-

The Health Center offers in-patient care with 6 beds, managed by a medical officer and assistant. It provides free healthcare, vaccinations, and annual check-ups, with plans to upgrade facilities with advanced equipment.
