NIFT Entrance Exam
NIFT is the top fashion design government college in India. They conduct an entrance exam through which candidates are selected to study in NIFT anywhere in India. The admission at NIFT is conducted in two stages - first students must appear for the CAT and GAT exams in which aptitude in design and creativity are checked. Selected candidates must appear for situation tests that check material handling abilities.
The entrance exam for NIFT 2025 is tentatively scheduled for February. It is expected that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will begin accepting applications for NIFT 2025 in December 2024.
Pearl Academy Exam
The Pearl Academy Entrance exam is conducted by Pearl Academy for fashion design courses. There are two exams- GPT and DAT exam which include aptitude and drawing skill tests. Selected candidates will be called for the final round interview section. Every year this exam is conducted 5 times.
The admission process for the January cycle has begun at Pearl Academy. Applications for Pearl Academy 2025 are open until January 13, 2025. There will be three written exams for the January Cycle of Pearl Academy 2025 which will be on January 17, 18, and 19, 2025.
SMEAT
Srishti Manipal Institute conducts the SMEAT entrance exam for fashion design candidates. This exam is conducted five times a year. Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design, & Technology will open the SMEAT 2025 application form in January 2025 (tentative). The SMEAT 2025 exam is scheduled to take place around the first week of April.
CUET
Common University Entrance Test or CUET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for students who want admission to any central university college across India. This exam is conducted every year for various subjects the students want to choose. In the application form, students can mention their preferences. CUET 2025 is scheduled for the third week of May 2025. In February 2025, CUET registration for 2025 is expected to begin.
