The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) is a state-level, annual entrance examination conducted by the University of Mysore. KSET is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Delhi, and is an entrance examination for the recruitment of candidates into the positions of Lectureship and Assistant Professor across government, private and aided universities, colleges and institutions in the state of Karnataka. The KSET 2023 exam is expected to be held in July 2023.
KSET 2023 Exam Pattern, Syllabus & Marking Scheme
The KSET 2023 will have 2 parts: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be a multiple-choice (MCQ) exam with 50 questions with a weightage of 2 marks each. The total mark of Paper 1 is 100. The exam is for 3 hours or 180 minutes.

KSET 2023 Paper 1 & Paper 2 Pre Analysis
KSET is a highly competitive exam for which lakhs of students appear yearly. Since the exam falls under the purview and guidelines of UGC, Delhi, the exam is also quite challenging for candidates. Candidates should keep the following points in mind while preparing for the KSET 2023 exam:

- The KSET 2023 Hall Ticket is the linking piece of document between the candidate and the KSET 2023 exam. Candidates can only sit for the examination with a hall ticket.
- Candidates should carry a valid ID as proof of identification. The valid proof of identity can be an Aadhar card, PAN card, driver’s license or voter ID.
- Candidates should carry a passport-sized photograph like the one they uploaded with their application.
- PwD candidates should carry their PwD certificates with them.
- Candidates should get their details verified by the exam authority before writing the exam. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should inform the exam authority and get the details corrected.
- Candidates can carry pieces of paper, only the required documents, calculators or electronic gadgets, into the exam hall.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the examination hall.
