What is DRDO?

The Defence Research and Development Organisation - DRDO comes under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.   • Age relaxation will be given to Ex-servicemen who wish to apply for DRDO through GATE.

  • Age limit for OBC category candidate is 31 years.

The DRDO recruitment through GATE is divided into two parts. Each part has different requirements.

Part 1 - Category 1: The aspirants must have the needed Essential Qualifications (EQ) and eligible GATE qualification.

             Category 2: For the second category, the candidates must have the needed Essential Qualifications (EQ) with a minimum of 80% aggregate marks from IITs or NITs.

Part 2 - The aspirants must have the needed Essential Qualifications (EQ) and eligible GATE qualification.

Steps to fill application form for DRDO recruitment through GATE 2023

Here are the steps to follow to fill the application form for DRDO recruitment through GATE 2023 -

  1. The candidates must visit the official website of Recruitment and Assesment Centre, DRDO -  https://rac.gov.in/
  2. The candidates need to register themselves as candidates for DRDO recruitment. 
  3. After entering their basic personal details a generated log in ID and Password will be given, which they are required to save for later. As this will be important throughout the admission process.
  4. The mentioned documents or certificates is mandatory to upload at the time of filling up the application, the candidates need to read the given instructions carefully on the website related to the documents required.
  5. Upon successful completion of the formalities, the candidates will be directed to the payments page where they will be required to pay the applicable fees for a successful completion of the registration process.

Selection Process for DRDO Recruitment through GATE Exam 2023

GATE score above 890 is considered as a good score for getting into DRDO. But just like any other cutoff score, GATE cutoff score for DRDO also varies. Know about selection process for DRDO recruitment-

  1. After clearing the GATE examination, the candidates eligibility depends on their personal GATE Score.
