Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established in July, 1998 under the Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the memory of great Sufi Saint Baba Farid. The University aims to create an academic, intellectual and physical environment where there exist a free flow of information and ideas across the Universities of Health Sciences in the country and overseas. Such a University established to meet the inadequacy in health professionals is expected to be the “Pace-setter”  in developing modes and models of Health care.

BFUHS Application Form

The application form for any of the courses offered by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences is available online in the official website. 

  • Most of the Undergraduate programmes like MBBS and BDS require NEET UG-2019 to be written before applying online.
  • Similarly, the Masters programmes like MD/MS and MDS requires NEET PG-2019 score.
  • Courses like B.Sc and MPT are strictly based on merit followed by counseling and interview.

Various courses follow different pattern of application as discussed below:

For Bachelor of Pharmacy

In order to apply for B.Pharma in BFUHS the following procedure needs to be followed:

  • The candidate must first pay the registration fee of INR 2000/- for general and INR 1000/- for SC at any Oriental Bank of Commerce Branch using the challan available at the official website of the college.
  • Then the candidate must fill the online application form by clicking on “Admission to B. Pharm or B. Pharm (LE)” on their website.
  • The printed application form must be sent to the University either by post or by hand addressing “The Principal, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Sadiq Road, Faridkot-151203 (Punjab)”.
  • Also, the relevant documents along with the Institute copy of the Bank Challan needs to be sent with the application form.

For Master of Physiotherapy

The application to MPT also follows an online pattern as given below:

  • Download the application form available on their official website and fill it.
  • The filled form along with a Demand Draft payable to “Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences” of the amount INR 5000/- for general and INR 2500/- for SC and the required documents must be sent to the University before the due date.

For Bachelor of Science Nursing

In order to pursue B.Sc Nursing, the applicant is required to first appear for PPMET-2019, the form of which can be filled online following the given steps: 

  • In the official website, select the course to be applied for and click on “New Registration”.
  • Register for PPMET-2019 first and fill the required details.
  • The candidate is required to pay the registration fee to any Oriental Bank of Commerce Branch using the Bank challan which will be generated after submitting the online application form.

For Ph. D Programme 

The candidates seeking admission in Ph.D course are required to sit for an entrance examination PHDET-2019 conducted by BFUHS. The procedure is as follows:

  • Visit the official website of the University and fill the application for PHDET-2019.
  • A Bank challan of INR 3000/- needs to be paid.
  • The necessary documents attached to the application form then needs to be sent to the University.

BFUHS Admission Fee

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences fee structure differs from one course to another based on its duration and other factors.. A few of course fee structure is highlighted below:

  • MBBS programme is offered at a course fee range of INR 60,000/- to INR 1,10,000/- per annum.
  • The total tuition fee for B.Sc is INR 93,500/- for the entire duration of the course.
  • The University offers the Doctoral course for a fee of INR 95,000/- for a period of 3 years.

BFUHS MBBS and BDS Admission 2019

The University provides Bachelor programmes in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and  Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) which lasts for a duration of 5 years and 4 years respectively.

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences provides Bachelor programme in B.Pharm and B.Pharm (LE) and Masters in M.Pharm. B.Pharm and B.Pharm (LE) course last for 4 years and 3 years respectively whereas the Masters course is for a duration of 2 years. The applicants who have already completed Diploma in Pharm can opt for B.Pharm lasting for 3 years.

Procedure for getting Eligibility Certificate

Before applying for admission under Foreign Indian Student(NRI) quota a candidate
needs to seek Equivalence/Eligibility certificate from BFUHS by applying on prescribed
application performa available from the University office on payment of Rs. 1000/-. The
performa may be downloaded from the University website and it may be
sent to the University alongwith fee of US$ 1000 plus or equivalent in US$ being the
cost of the application form in the shape of demand draft/cashier’s cheque in favour of the
Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot drawn on any bank payable
in India. I

The applicant has to attach following documents along with the application:-

(i) 10+1/ equivalent examination detailed marks certificate(s)
(The certificate(s) must show the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English)
(ii) 10+2/ equivalent examination detailed marks certificate(s)
(The certificate(s) must show the marks of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English)
(iii) Explanation Sheet of grades.
(iv) Pass Certificate/Diploma of 10+2 or equivalent examination.
(v) Proof of Accreditation of School in case candidate pass his/her 10+2 or
equivalent examination from institution situated in U.S.A
(vi) Detail of Grades of Qualifying examination.
(vii) Date of Birth Certificate.
(viii) Character/Recommendation Certificate from the Head of the Institution last
attended.
(ix) Proof of NRI status of candidate/parents

Note:- These documents should be original along with photocopies duly attested
by a competent authority.

A candidate should fill in the form preferably in his/her own handwriting & send it
to the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Sadiq Road, Faridkot-151203
(Pb) India along with a Bank Draft for US $ 1000/- or equivalent amount in Indian rupees,
in favour of the Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, (Pb) India
payable at Faridkot. If the form is down loaded he/she also send Rs. 1000/- or equivalent
in US$- as a cost of form.
After verification of the documents, the university will issue Eligibility/Equivalency
Certificate to the Eligible candidates only, and all original documents will be returned in
person at the time of issue of Eligibility/Equivalency certificate.

2. Procedure for admission to State/University/Private colleges

* After getting the Eligibility Certificate from the University, the candidate has
to apply for admission on the prescribed Admission Application form to the
Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
* The Admission Application form for admission is available at the University
counter on a payment of Rs.2000/- or equivalent in US$ .
* The candidate can also obtain this form by post on request for which the
candidate has to send a Demand Draft of Rs.2000 or equivalent in US$ in
favour of Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot
drawn on any bank payable at Faridkot.
* The candidate can also down load Admission Application form from the
website of the University . However, if the candidate
downloads the form from the website, he will have to send an additional
demand draft of Rs.2000/- or equivalent in US $ in favour of Registrar,
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot drawn on any bank
payable at Faridkot towards the cost of this form.
After getting the Admission Application form, he has to send this duly completed
form to Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, along with a bank
draft of US $ 1000 or its equivalent amount in Indian Rupees in favour of Registrar, Baba
Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot drawn on any bank payable at Faridkot.
The candidate has to attach the photocopies of the following documents duly

Eligibility criteria

a) Candidate should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on
31stDecember 2016. Candidates born on or after 02.01.2000 are NOT ELIGIBLE
to apply.
b) They should have passed in such qualifying examination from a recognized
institution in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English separately and
should have obtained atleast 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)
taken together. Candidates seeking admission under Foreign Indian Student (NRI)
quota are required to must appear for counseling before the Selection committee.
