Dinabandhu Andrews College was established in the year 1956 and the institution is named after freedom fighter Rev. Charles Freer Andrews. The college is situated in the semi-urban zone of the district of South 24 Parganas. Dinabandhu was formed with the intention to spread the scope of higher education to a good number of children of displaced people from erstwhile East Pakistan, now present Bangladesh.

Dinabandhu College is a Govt Sponsored institution that offers courses in Science, Arts, and Commerce streams and there are about 15 courses in these streams which include Honors and General courses. Year by Year the infrastructure and related facilities on the college are increasing in an advanced manner. Dinabandhu is blessed with extremely qualified and well-experienced faculties who guide and support the students to achieve their dream. Dinabandhu Andrews College Facilities:

Dinabandhu College comprises of all the required facilities that are indeed needed for a perfect Arts and Science college. The college has excellent faculty members, those who can guide and instruct as well as help the students with the Curricular and extracurricular activities. The college library has a  collection of books which are about 28000 that relies on different reading genres and 22 Indian journals which are very much helpful for the scholars.

There are 35 classrooms including 4 model classrooms and 2 classrooms which are more of a Gallery- type with sufficient lighting and fanning facilities and have an intake capacity ranging from 30 to 200. Each Science department has well-equipped laboratories with enough lab instruments and continuously keeps updating. The college canteen provides healthy delicious food to the students at a very reasonable rate. An open-air shed that can withstand scorching heat and rain for conducting outdoor programs called Dinabandhu Mukta Mancha. Health care facilities for students with needful medicines.

The college also has NSS and NCC units for making students more active and socially committed.

 Dinabandhu Andrews Activities:

Year by Year there are many activities were conducted on the campus with active participation and corporation of students from different departments. Different programs are conducted on the campus by the students and for the students. Department wise seminars, workshops, presentations, etc. were conducted every year. The arts fest takes place at the college will be a great venue for students to show their tastes in different kinds of arts and the sports fest will be a venue for sports such as football, cricket, volleyball, etc.

Students of the college can be a part of NCC and NSS in the college and such a way they can be a part of a more active environment and socially committed. many palliative care programs, Blood donation campaign, etc. were also conducted by the students of the campus.

Dinabandhu Fees:

Dinabandhu College put forward a relatively affordable fee structure. Fees are accepted through banking transactions and through other transfers. The fee structure for courses will be different according to the specializations.

For UG programs the fee structure goes as follows. For B Com the fee is INR 6,750 and B.Com (Hons) the fee is INR 6,950. The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) programs demand a fee of INR 7,690 and for B Sc (Hons) the fee is INR 9,222. For arts programs (B A) the fee is INR 5,990 and finally for all the master programs, ie.  M Sc the fee is INR 19,940.

Dinabandhu Scholarships:

Scholarships are given by the institution to the eligible students, who earn better scores in their academics from all streams based on their performances in the Calcutta University examinations. Also, Government scholarship programs and fee reduction are available for students who belong to the minority category such as SC/ ST, OBC, etc.
