What is a Good Score in KEAM?
There are various entrance examinations conducted every year for varied courses. Among them, one is Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM). It is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) and is a Kerala state-level examination. Through KEAM, students can secure seats in various private and government colleges for undergraduate engineering and architectural courses.
Candidates must examine the factors that contribute to a good score in KEAM. The foremost factor is students' knowledge and preparation for the exam. Next comes their performance in the KEAM exam; KEAM is conducted for admissions in engineering and architectural courses. Students who qualify for the exam can take courses in B.Tech and B.Pharm.
KEAM is organised into two papers, 1 and 2. Students applying for B.Pharm have to appear for only Paper 1. In contrast, students must appear for papers 1 and 2 while aspiring for B.Tech.

The total evaluation of marks will be 960. For this purpose, the marks are divided into two categories, 50% of the marks scored in the Class XII examination and 50% scored in KEAM will be considered. Therefore, the total marks for the KEAM for the B.Tech entrance examination will be 600.

KEAM Good Score Cutoff

KEAM Tie-Breaking Rules
The number of students opting for KEAM is prominently on a larger scale. In this situation, it may often happen that students may score the same marks. In this kind of case, there are specific rules that are followed by the KEAM conducting authority to resolve the issue.
- For paper 1, students whose score is higher in mathematics will be taken into count.
- The following preference will be given to students who have higher marks in Class XII mathematics.
- If the situation persists, then the physics marks will be considered in the same manner as mathematics.
- Lastly, the students older in age will be placed ahead.
Highlights of KEAM Rank List
The KEAM rank list will be prepared based on the exam performance and scores of class XII boards. The conducting authority will release the list online post the examination. Some of the significant KEAM highlights are:
- Students scoring below ten will be marked disqualified for the rank list except those from the reserved category.
- 50% marks from class XII and 50% from KEAM will be calculated for the rank list.
- For a few exceptions, such as students who have not pursued chemistry for their class XII boards examination, their marks for computer science is considered.
- If computer science was not there for class XII, then marks of biotechnology are considered.
- Further, if biotechnology was not an optional subject, biology is considered.
