Placements and Internships

  • Nobody gets a job here.
  • Placement cell is doomed.
  • They don't invite international companies because holding an interview is an expensive process

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

1

  • The College terribly lacks potential for any growth-oriented measures in terms of infrastructure, administration & student growth initiatives. (just to be clear: Coconut & Mango Trees are not Infrastructure & we're not reincarnations of Lord Buddha to gain a professional degree under a 'Bodhi' tree.)
  • The campus is peaceful & green with quality inconsistencies for 'on campus students' such as consistent bad food, irregular wifi services, underdeveloped library services.

Academics and Faculty

  • MSEC is a 'Good College' if you're a SAINT !! yeah! it's okay ! just a building with 'humans' packed inside with no hopes of having a 'pictures of a better life' ........
  • The necessities of this profound education institution are laid on the hollow benchmarks of absurd publicity .i.e what's given in the brochure is never witnessed within the campus.
  • Students are left on their own; if they are outgoing, they are certainly going to end up at a good place after graduation like Germany or reputed IT companies ( pretty obvious ) & the rest of the 'majority average category' struggle for their existence.
  • The only major advantage for this institution is that it's VTU affiliated' & students are assured of having a VTU degree, at last !! & indeed.
  • It's a common ritual of Interesting teachers leaving college due to their arrested personal growth, In 2015, I heard that majority (75%) of faculties in a department had left due to their 'mysterious personal reasons'.
  • Those who stay, act like 'government officials'. Placement cell (TAP Cell ) is good for chit-chat & social gathering but definitely not good for industry exposure.
  • There are formal periods assigned for TAP activity at every semester levels. However, there is no sign of any development in establishing any 'micro skills' in students and most of the time such periods are engaged in feeling sorry for yourself for not doing excellent at pre-university or regrets of not being the topper of competitive exams.
  • The internet presence of this college is a 'crisis'. official facebook & youtube accounts are filled with cobwebs with rare updates.
  • The college website is just a formality with the lack of any genuine content. Mandatory disclosure on college website is rarely updated annually. Why do I say that? Check REVA college website that has a far high intellectual level. P.S REVA & MSEC were started together, crunch some numbers & make out the differences.
  • My sincere suggestion is if you're opting for this college, make sure you're on your own with great intensity to carve your own exposure & it would be completely irrational to expect anything from college.
  •  Average students don't join this college, as first of all it's an average college that lacks exposure and as an average student when there's a dire requirement for exposure; it would never be fulfilled here, at any cost! If you're planning to head towards the Himalayas after graduation. Then yes, you made it!! MSEC is the ultimate destination.

Clubs and Associations

1

  • There are no major events/ fest for college, it's like, they have this unique policy of having 'one batch, one fest', as of 2015 every pass out batch has experienced only one inter-collegiate fest in their entire four-year academic tenure.
  • A coriander like 'inter-departmental' fest is however conducted by students without any college funds in the picture after several 'whining' from students to higher authorities & Again a majority of the Interdepartmental fest are inconsistent or at the verge of extinction.
  • Nothing specific, every year they cut off the clubs because there would be a demand of fest & other activities and the college would have to incur expenses on it.
