- Job prospects have improved tremendously from the time I graduated in 2011 at National Institute of Technology.
- Even during our time, one getting two jobs from the campus was the norm.
- Summer internship offers are also available.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
- National Institute of Technology is a fantastic, lush green campus.
- There is a sports complex being built on the campus which will be the biggest in the whole of North-East.
- This will give a big boost for sports here. There are huge galleries here where the lectures happen and for audibility, the galleries are well equipped with speakers. All the labs are air-conditioned. Computer and Electronics department are centrally air-conditioned. There are cycles and buses in the campus to travel inside.
- The overall experience is good at National Institute of Technology.
Academics and Faculty
- NIT Silchar offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Engineering, Science, and Humanities with 1187 departments.
- The annual intake for the B.Tech program is more than 500.
- The College also has a Kendriya Vidyalaya school up to Class VIII functioning from a temporary building in Campus.The faculty is good and always helpful.They are highly knowledgeable.
- The quality of teaching is very good at National Institute of Technology.
Fees and Scholarships
- Several scholarships are available at National Institute of Technology.
- It being an institute of national importance, the fees is also not very high.
- Scholar loans are available at a cheap rate (~10.25%)

Entrance Exams & Admissions : To join in the college National Institute of Technology Silchar we have to qualify the joint entrance examination mains with good percentile. The cut off for my course is of rank 15000 . The application form for JEE MAIN examination will be available in the official NTA website for the admission of National Institute of Technology is done when we will come to college and complete it.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for getting into NIT silchar was that the student should have at least 75 percent marks in 12th standard and he must have qualified JEE MAINS examination. The typical cut off for my course was around 155 out of 360.
