Placements and Internships
No, I have not yet done any internship. The main companies that hire from our campus are IT,finance,marketing etc. Average salary is around INR 5.5-6 lakhs/year and the highest for this year till now is 27 lakh/year. 100 percent students are placed in CSE department and overall it is around 65-70 percent. The alumni of our college works in very renowned companies like google,apple etc. Apart from these there are many start ups also, go ibibo being the most famous of all.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are all together 10 hostels which includes 8 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. The interior of the hostels are quite good. The hostel fees for per semester is around 15k/month. There are less PG's outside college. The food in college is average. The cost of food per day is 80. The quality of classrooms,labs,libraries, dining halls,WiFi is excellent
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The eligibility criteria for getting into NIT silchar was that the student should have at least 75 percent marks in 12th standard and he must have qualified JEE MAINS examination. The typical cut off for my course was around 155 out of 360.
Academics and Faculty
The class timings are from 9am-5pm which includes workshops, practicals. The quality of teaching is good. The overall experience was good.
Fees and Scholarships
The average course fee per year is around INR 1.5 lakh/year including hostel and mess fees. There are various scholarship available for NIT students. Almost all students apply for scholarships and they get it too. Some students apply for loans and they are availed easily from various banks such as SBI, pnb etc.
Clubs and Associations
There are many clubs in college associated with different activities like coding, dancing,singing,dramatics,photography etc. Life in college in general is very decent

Entrance Exams & Admissions : To join in the college National Institute of Technology Silchar we have to qualify the joint entrance examination mains with good percentile. The cut off for my course is of rank 15000 . The application form for JEE MAIN examination will be available in the official NTA website for the admission of National Institute of Technology is done when we will come to college and complete it.

Academics & Faculty : NIT Silchar offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Engineering, Science, and Humanities with 1187 departments. The annual intake for the B.Tech program is more than 500. The College also has a Kendriya Vidyalaya school up to Class VIII functioning from a temporary building in Campus.The faculty is good and always helpful.They are highly knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is very good at National Institute of Technology.
