Placements and Internships

2

The college did not provide any assistance for summer internships. There was no guidance from any of the faculty members regarding internships. The final placements had the mass recruiters coming in like Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant. The average package was around INR 3 LPA. There is no Alumni network to talk of.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

2

The college has 2 separate hostels for boys and girls. The fee was around INR  50,000 per year. The rooms were pretty basic and not fully furnished. Most people opted to stay out after the mandatory stay in the hostel for 1 year.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

The college accepted MH-CET and AIEEE scores. There was no entrance exam. The typical cutoff was around 120 for the first round of admissions. It dropped to around 90 by the third round.

Academics and Faculty

2.5

The daily routine had lab sessions in the morning or afternoon and lectures scheduled in between. The average college timings were from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The assignments were fairly straightforward and most students resorted to copying and pasting. The pedagogy followed left a lot to be desired. Most of the professors were incompetent apart from a few.

Fees and Scholarships

2

The fees for each of the four years hovered around INR 1 Lakh. The reserved castes had to pay heavily discounted fees and some had zero fees for the curriculum. There was no assistance in terms of availing of student loans and students opting for loans had to figure it out by themselves.

Clubs and Associations

2

The most active and glamorous club was the college newsletter club and the college magazine. The students were responsible for designing and content for the same with virtually no assistance from the professors. The college did have sports events around the year. The Sinhgad Karandak was the most participated event. The crowd was not that great although a handful was decent from outside Pune and Maharashtra.
