SBSC has a high credibility when it comes to placements. Being a college known for commerce, the placements in the field of finance and management are one of the best in DU. This year itself companies like EY has recruited as many as 58 students and KPMG has recruited 31. Other companies to visit the campus are Jet Airways,Discoin,Oberai,Grand Thorton and iact global. Internship opportunities are mostly looked by the students themselves as one of the perks of being in any college of DU is you could never be free, apart from your own will. Some or the other opportunity keeps coming up,but the facebook page of The Placement Cell of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College keeps on posting about any such opportunity be it at IMS,Teach for India,Find your Light and various start-ups as well. The students can also register at Central Placement Cell of DU for further information about job offers and internship opportunities.
Shaheed bhagat singh has a new building, unlike the other colleges of DU, especially north campus colleges. But, it is built in a small area with half space being occupied by the building of the evening college. Also, the college is in desperate need of an auditorium, it misses on some opportunities because of lack of this facility. The playground is also not ready yet and the condition of the washrooms is not satisfactory. Although, since it's a new building, every classroom has a projector and the desks are new, but even that is limited to some classes. The library is good, if you exclude the first floor of the library where one finds majority of the books, especially for commerce which constitutes more than half the population of the college. The front lawn is not maintained, which leaves the students helpless while organising a freshers party or any other event. College has no proper space for the practice of the dramatics and dance society and the meetings of other society as well. tutorial rooms are the only solace, but they are small and cannot fit more than 7-8 people at the maximum. There is a conference hall, but it is exclusively used for special or specific purposes. Bad infrastructure continues to be the biggest disadvantage of this college.
Shaheed Bhagat singh College or SBSC is renowned for it's academics and rightly so. It is one of the leading college for commerce in Delhi University, beating many of the north campus colleges as well. It has the third best department of geography in DU, after Kirori Mal and Miranda House. The faculty is very experienced and helpful. But what's interesting is that even though the academics here is remarkably good it does not burden you with study pressure. The pressure on students is minimal. There are assignments to be submitted, presentations and timely tests to be given, but it is planned out in a way that suits the requirements of the students. The teachers here know when to be greet students with a warm welcome and when to be firm and stern. Also, one of the major positive aspects is there is no issue of attendance, as such, university norms being a minimum of 66.6% in all lectures. So, it acts in favour of students taking up other part time courses such as CA,CS,ICWA,CIMA,etc. Also for students taking MBA coachings or doing internships.
Delhi University is famous for it's societies. Although SBSC has a good number of them, they are not that powerful or active. Some of them such as Natuve, the dramatics society,YES,young entrepreneurs society and Harithkram, the environment society are struggling very hard to get recognised in DU. Enactus, that is social entrepreneurship society, famous all over the world has just a month back found a door to SBSC, which it should have way back, considering the academic excellence of the college. Sports is not given due importance in SBSC,another side effect of having bad infrastructure. Apart from these there are several inactive and dormant societies, such as music, dance, debating, literary, photography, etc.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I took admission in 2017 for B.com programme. There is a basic criterion for admission. You have to calculate the percentage from your top 4 subjects i.e (English, business, accountancy, economics) and then compare it with the cut-offs. In case you include the marks of physical education and music instead of any above 4 subjects, you have to reduce your percentage by 2.5% and that will be your final percentage. Cutoffs are generally above 85%.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : You will get admission in college with minimum 55% Marks should be in 12th & you will pay standard fees of admission B.com course duration is 3 years.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : It was really difficult to take admission over here as admissions are all based upon cutoffs. There is always a huge hike in the cutoffs and that was also there when I took admission. I got 94% in 12th and I got admission in the 5th cutoff.
