Placements and Internships

5

My internship was at Axis Bank Limited. Companies that visit campus offer jobs and internships in various domains. Namely, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Consulting and General Management, Trade. Most of the trade profiles offered here are not offered in any other campus in India. IIFT has completed 50 years of existence and its alumni network is pretty widespread.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

3.5

Infrastructure is good. The campus, though, does not boast of an in-house playground which means that sports is not on IIFT's priority list.

Academics and Faculty

4

Academics at IIFT is pretty rigorous with the courses cut out perfectly to provide the necessary domain knowledge. Courses are relevant. Number of electives being offered is not high because of a strength of 160-odd people ion the Delhi Campus. Accessability of professors outside classes is also decent. Some faculty members need to come out of their comfort zone and migrate to modern/unorthodox teaching methodologies.

Fees and Scholarships

5

College fees is decent taking into account the tuition fees at comparable B-schools. Availability of bank loans is excellent.

Clubs and Associations

3.5

There are clubs dedicated to various domains. For example, we have BLASH (Buy Low and Sell High) Club focussed on providing peer-to-peer help and discussions on trade and related issues.

Sports infrastructure on campus is poor, to say the least.

Fees & Scholarships : IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade), Delhi take special care to facilitate the meritorious students with scholarships. Banks tied up with IIFT offer educational loans to the students at a moderate rate of interest.  The Institute provides Need Based Scholarship Scheme under which it pays interest subsidy for a certain time on Educational Loan from a bank taken by the student whose family income is less than Rs.2.50 lakh per year. Depending on the fee and other expenses the amount of educational loan is revised every year.

Academics & Faculty : Most subjects are all relevant and the methods adopted to teach them are good as well, but still there are certain areas which can be incorporated into the syllabus.
