Placements and Internships
I interned at ChangePay, which is a NITK based startup and focuses on online money payment with innovative solutions, it was an unpaid internship. Key companies are Samsung, TI, Qualcomm etc come for the placements. Also, tech companies like Amazon come to hire for management roles. The average salary is around INR 8 to 10 lakhs per annum and The highest salary can go to INR 30 lakhs per annum. Almost everyone gets placed except students who pursue higher studies. Alumni network is amazing, we have a special place for that and in any event or a starting, the alumni community invests some amount.
College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities
There are 7 hostels for both boys and girls. The hostel fee is around INR 20,000 per annum. There are not many Pg's available. Quality of classrooms is decent, labs are amazing all the equipment are there. Wi-Fi speed is pretty good.
Entrance Exams and Admissions
The eligibility criteria to get the admission in this college is either through JEE Mains. The college intake is around 850 students per year for BTech. Intake in ECE being around 110 students. The percentage varies from institute to institute. For my course ECE, the cut-off went till the rank 3k in Mains.
Academics and Faculty
The quality of faculties is amazing. Projects are a part of learning and exams are meant to be tough, there's a lot of competition which is very healthy actually. Assignments are given on a regular basis in almost all the subjects. The method of teaching is amazing. Except for some subjects the teachers are well educated and we feel very comfortable while studying. Overall experience is fascinating, it's definitely worth to be here.
Fees and Scholarships
The course fee per year is around INR 90,000 including the hostel. Top 5 students in mains, students who qualified in NTSE get the scholarships. SC/ST also get scholarships. We have an SBI facility on the campus, so loans are not needed but Loans are available if it is needed.
Clubs and Associations
There are exclusive and non-exclusive clubs. The exclusive ones are ISTE, IEEE, ACM, IE, IET, and Rotaract. The no exclusive ones include robotics club, artists forum, E-Cell. The main cultural fest is Incident which is really good. Life in college is average.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : To get into B.tech you have to clear the JEE mains. I got this college by JEE mains. So far NITK maintained the NIRF rank of 10 from last 2 year. So obviously you have to score good marks in JEE mains. for the top branches (i e. CSE ,IT,ECE and EEE) you have to score approx above 98 percentile.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) is in coastal region of Karnataka, where only college in India to have private beach. Coming to eligibility, each individual is selected based on the JEE MAINS score. Once scores are out, need to confirm in the college about the seat and later you can wait for better department in total 3 rounds and additional spot round, if you would like to. NITK has EC, Electrical, CS, IT, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Metallurgy and Mining branches of Engineering. Mainly EC and CS will have higher cutoffs and also the best branches both in terms of teaching as well as placement is concerned. NITK is a vast campus of 300 acres, we have well maintained Hostels both for boys and girls and also cafe's here and there in the campus. Every year we will have good placement records. Along with studies you can spend enjoy time in beach and also good fish hotels in and around Mangalore. Happy Engineering.
