Placement and internship activities are regular on the campuses. Most of the students being placed with a good package.

Great hostel facility with newly made hostels. Good infrastructure. Hostel fees varies from around INR 30,000 to INR 40,000 per semester. Campuses are also surrounded with numbers of PGS. Food offered are of good quality. Every student on the campuses has access to WiFi both in academic area and the hostel. Library facility is good. Labs are great.

For admission in Thapar institute of engineering and technology (Thapar University), you need to write JEE MAIN entrance exam. The average cut-offs varies depending on the stream you want to opt for.

Classes are conducted from 8 am to 5 pm. Most of the subjects have a project. You have to complete  3 to 4 projects every semester. Overall quality of academics are good with good faculties and great labs.

The annual fees for the year 2016-2020 is around INR 2 lakh per semester ( 2 semesters per year). Students having a good percentage in their board exams are awarded with scholarships. Also the respective branch toppers ( top 10%) are also awarded with scholarships. Loans can be availed easily from any Central Bank.

There are multiple societies and student clubs in Thapar University. You get to choose from a variety of societies depending on your interests. The technical and cultural fest on the campuses are Saturnalia which is conducted in November every year. The life on the campus is cool.
